1966 - 1970    U.S. Navy.  Received extensive training in emergency medical rescue equipment and procedures.

1979 - 1981   El Cajon Fire Department.  Served as a Firefighter/EMT.

1978 - 1979   Invented and developed the Kendrick Extrication Device (KED).  This      device is used to extricate accident victims from automobiles and confined spaces & immobilize patients with suspected neck or spinal injury.  The KED is currently the industry standard throughout the U.S. and much of the civilized world.  It is used extensively in the U.S. military, NASA and many foreign military systems.


1979 - 1983  Medi-Ked, Inc.  Secretary and Director of Product Development, Production and Quality Control.  During this period, the company expanded to approximately $1.8 million  annual sales.  The product quality was unparalleled in the industry.

1980 - 1983    Kendrick Mfg. Co. (dba: El Cajon Awning).  Director of Operations, Production
and Quality Control.  During these years, the company grew from $950K to an Average of $2.5 million annual sales.  Successfully coordinated the production and installation, on a nationwide basis, of approximately 9,000 awnings for a fast food chain.  This project transformed El Cajon Awning from a local awning company to a nationally recognized company.

1985 - 1986   Invented and developed the Kendrick Traction Device (KTD™).  The KTD™ is a unique and innovative rescue medical device used to apply leg traction to a patient with a suspected fractured femur.  The KTD rapidly became a product to be reckoned with in the rescue medical equipment market.
